Note:  This portion of the meeting will take place in executive session in order to promote open and frank discussion and accuracy in the performance evaluation process.  Under Rule 2(e) of the Rules of Procedure for Judicial Performance Review in the State of Arizona, the Commission shall meet in executive session when (1) discussing, not including voting, whether a judge or justice “meets” or “does not meet” judicial performance standards; (2) when presenting and discussing a judge’s written comment submitted in response to a finding that the judge or justice “does not meet” judicial performance standards; and (3) when a judge or justice appears before the Commission.
